FMD Ships Largest Prover to Date

Flow Management Devices shipped its largest Prover to date. The FMD-200 Unidirectional Captive Displacement / Small Volume Prover has 900 lb ANSI flanges and weighs in at almost 50,000 pounds. The end destination for this Prover is Texas, where it will installed in Ethane service for verification of Coriolis flowmeters.

FPSO and Offshore Measurement Technology Update

FPSO and Offshore Measurement Technology Update
A Downsized Solution for Applications Where Size Matters

A Meter Prover Option to Reduce Weight, Reduce Footprint and Increase Accuracy!

FPSO APPLICATIONS OVERVIEW
While FPSO and offshore measurement systems must maintain the same critical custody transfer measurement standards that apply to land-based facilities, these floating or fixed base marine platforms have additional challenges that do not apply to onshore metering stations.

Proving Manufactured Pulse Meters

Proving manufactured pulse meters with small volume provers has proven to problematic in the past. FMD’s new 4th Generation family of provers has addressed some of these challenges with the following changes:

Which Type of Water Draw is Best? Gravimetric or Volumetric

Since inception, the API Petroleum Measurement Manuals were written to design and define test solutions to reduce the uncertainty and improve the accuracy of all petroleum measurements. As technologies evolve, so do the written standards.

The continuous growth and use of Unidirectional Captive Displacement Provers has been influential in the adoption of these changes.
